Talks Lot, Types Little!
I have always been told I talk a lot. That of course is because I have a lot to say. Why then do I find it so hard to type something, ANYTHING, onto my blog? I have good intentions, I enjoy reading other blogs, BUT I just can't seem to get it together. Today I have been adding old and new friends to my Facebook. I have even Twittered AND added to my other blog. SO that said here I am and I will tell you why. I discovered a good thing and I have to give props to iGoogle. I have added all my internet socialite apps to my iGoogle page in hopes that while I am checking in everyday I will find one spark of intelligence to share with you. Until tomorrow comes....Ducty Out!

10 Things I am Addicted Too

Just because it is an addiction does not mean it is a bad thing. Does It? I am sure there are more than 10 but here are the top 10.....how many can you list?
1. My Family (see not a bad thing)
2. Chocolate (well maybe not so good)
3. Taking Pictures of my Grandkids (not bad until you try to figure out what disk has
the picture on it you want to print)
4. Hugs and Kisses (not a bad thing as long as it is kept in the family) ha ha
5. Crafting Supplies (mom says we love the supplies more than the actual craft)
6. American Idol (Season 8 is Great, too hard to pick one)
7. Romantic Comedy's (which gets in the way when I should be blogging and
crafting)
8. My Fuzz and Wine Buds (you can read about them in my other blog, hmmm when I
update it)
9. Magazines (I finally got rid of 2 large boxes by donating to the library and
the nursing home in my town)
10. Lastly searching the internet for artistic people and the crafts they create.
(this addiction will lead me to my next blog..."How the internet stole my
creativeness")

TGIF!!!

...and what a beautiful Friday it is going to be. It is sunny and
suppose to reach 80 degrees today. It is hard to believe that we had the
ice storm of the century one month ago. Mother Nature is still showing
some tell tell signs though. I look at it as Gods way of doing some much
needed pruning. I will admit I was one of the lucky ones as I was only
without power for hours unlike some who were without for days and weeks.
Another note I must add is TIME CHANGES SUNDAY MORNING! YIPPEE! I
honestly feel as though I am a bear going into hibernation when the sun
starts setting at 5 p.m. and I believe my family would agree with me. Oh
well that will all change come Sunday......Ducty Out!

Happy 50th Birthday!!!

I am not sure what it means to have a husband the same age as "The Cat in the Hat", nevertheless I want to give a big shout out to my husband Beau and wish him another 50 wonderful years of life. I would also like to extend that greeting to "The Cat". I am now and have always been a fan of the Cat. I have such fond memories of my Grandfather, god rest his soul, teaching me to read and using the Dr.'s books to aide in that development. So Happy 50th Birthday and Ducty out!

WATCH OUT FOR THAT......

(SMASH) DEER!!!! oops to late....the deer nor my car are very pretty right now. Coming home from Western Arkansas on I540 a deer popped out from no where and side swiped us. Beau was driving, and he tried but just couldn't miss it. I am very thankful we are okay, BUT!! I just replaced that back bumper and the deer doesn't have the money for my deductible, something about needing braces for little Bambi's horns, who knows. I guess the economy is hard on every living creature.....I know it isn't Christmas but can everyone join in with me for my little version of my favorite Christmas Carol.....hmmmmmm.....Grandma got ran over by a reindeer, driving home from Cherokee one March day, you may say there's no such thing as bad luck but as for me and Grandpa we believe.....poor little broke Ducty out!

Inspiration Comes In Many Forms!

I was playing with my IPOD Touch last night, greatest thing invented since sliced bread, and was looking through the backgrounds when I ran across some very encouraging words. I read it several times to be sure it would not be forgotten. I hope you all find this quote as inspiring as I have. "Never give up on anything, that you can't go a day without thinking about."

Sprung A Leak

As you know most duct's love water. It just rolls right off their backs and into the pond they are splashing in. Well not so much the case this weekend. We have sprung a leak....our hose to the ice maker got a kink in it sometime during the day while we were off working and ran under the cabinets, under the flooring, and so much so that the slab on the house actually got wet from soaking it all in. We had to rent one of those electric floor scrappers...and just in case you have never had the experience of using one it is like using a jack hammer, or at least that is what my husband, Beau, told me. Needless to say after all of that I did still manage to do a little crafting. My youngest daughter, Samantha, purchased a Cricut Expression and brought it over for us to play with on Sunday. LOADS OF FUN! Hopefully I can take some pictures soon of our goodies for all to see. Until then......Ducty.....out!

Bugs in My Pond

What a weekend......We had our 3 youngest grandchildren Friday night so their mommies and daddys could celebrate Valentine's without the pitter patter of little feet running around. Parker 4, Peiper 2, and Karsyn who will be 2 February 27th. Hunter, my 12 year old grandson went out on his first "date" with his little girlfriend Tia to see a movie, accompanied by Dad of course. Anthony who is soon to be 11 I am sure kept busy doing what little boys do.
Saturday my husband, Beau, and I went out and had our own Valentine's Day Celebration. Dinner and then off to drop a few coins in the new Casino. The place was packed and so smokey that we decided to go home early.
Sunday I spent most of my day trying to get some nasty bugs out of my pond. Thanks to a wonderful post at Free PC Help Dot Com I managed it all by myself. Those nasty little bugs flew in under the radar with other invited guest and then messed up my pond. Be careful of those little devils that are known as Trojan's they are no fun.
Thankfully I am safe now to swim around....Ducty Out!

Getting My Feet Wet.....

Well we have a new year and new goals. My main goal for 2009 was to finish projects that were started before starting any new ones. So I have been busy doing just that.
This blog is my second attempt. I have been consolidating emails and internet accounts that kept me busy but were un-productive. So alas I have lost my first blog, which is okay, because I feel this one is starting off much better. I have to add though, it is a lot of work just to decide what kind of persona you want to put out there for all the world to see.
There will be many days of tweaking this blog before it is right and if it takes the rest of the year to do that, then I am willing to paddle until done.....after all it is a "Sink or Swim" world and I am only one "Little Duct".
NOTE: Duct is spelled with a "T" for a reason, one that I will tell of in post to come.
Until Then.....Ducty.....Out
